Acoustic Sound Detectors

Acoustic sound detectors are an essential tool when surveying for burst water pipes and the escape of water. When a pressurised water pipe leaks, water flows which causes the pipe and surrounding material to vibrate. This sound, or vibration, is transmitted along the pipe, and through the surrounding material. Acoustic listening devices amplifying the water leak noise with an electroacoustic microphone amplifying the sound up to 2.5 meters below the surface, this allows the surveyor accurately trace and locate the source pinpointing the location of the leak without the need for disruptive excavation . The acoustic sound detector can be used to find water leaks in pipes concealed within the ground, concrete or hidden cavities.

If you're experiencing problems with water damage and require a survey, choose a company that invests in its equipment, systems and staff but also a company who cares to diagnose and repair your problems correctly first time.
